9th of January, 2020 (excerpt) Siân Berry questions Sir Stephen House, Deputy Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, about who had final sign off on the decision – later declared unlawful by the High Court – to completely ban Extinction Rebellion protests in London from 14 October. A section 14 of the Public Order Act 1986 was issued at 9pm on 14 October, effectively banning all Extinction Rebellion protests in London.
