Summary: The European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation (EIUC) in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) are seeking applications for a training seminar which will analyse the existing ties between human rights and the environment for a more sustainable development.
A human rights based approach is the key factor at the basis of the seminar which analyses environmental issues such as biodiversity, sustainable development, ecosystem services, global warming, over-fishing, water shortages, deforestation, desertification in the context of social, political and economic rights, transitional justice, indigenous people rights and the law of armed conflicts.
