Dozens have been killed in heavy rains and flash floods across parts of the Philippines, Malaysia and southern Thailand.
Officials say Tropical Storm Jangmi has left at least 31 dead in the Philippines. Seven people are reportedly missing.
Sweeping from east to west, winds of up to 65 km/h and gusts of 80 km/h have ravaged the region.

Italy’s navy says it has taken control of a stranded cargo ship in the Ionian Sea that is carrying hundreds of migrants. An Italian helicopter flew out to the ship as part of a rescue team after the vessel issued a distress call in Greek waters. Zlatica Hoke reports this is the latest in a series of incidents in the region involving migrants from Africa and the Middle East seeking a better life in Europe.
