After last Friday’s meeting of the World Health Organization’s emergency committee on COVID-19, Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus explained that the pandemic is probably at a “transition point.” He warned that it is not the time to declare the pandemic over and that the global response to the crisis “remains hobbled.” How can countries navigate this transitional stage in a more rational way and learn from each other for a more appropriate response?
