Kenya’s horticulture crisis

2022 was arguably one of the worst years for Kenya’s horticultural sector in at least 5 years. In the first 9-months of the year, the value of cut flowers, fruits and vegetables exported from the East African nation were 38.5% below where they were during the same period in 2021. We spoke to Clement Tulezi, the CEO of the Kenya Flower Council, and the Chair of the National Horticulture Taskforce in Kenya.
