In Kenya, pregnant women are among those who have been greatly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. A recent health ministry report suggests that a section of pregnant women, afraid of contracting COVID-19 in hospitals or unable to access health facilities due to movement restrictions, opted to deliver their babies at home. The government has rolled out measures to ensure pregnant women deliver in health facilities where complications can be tackled should they arise. CGTN’s Wilkister Nyabwa reports.
