Food waste is one of the most easily solvable problems, literally the
low-hanging fruit of environmentalism. Pardon the pun, it’s my job.

About 20% of all produce never makes it off the farms because they just look a little funny, a little weird but when you cut into it, it’s perfectly good. It’s just a total shame. It’s totally good stuff.

We buy ugly produce directly from farms that often would go to waste because supermarkets won’t buy it because of how it looks and we deliver it to people’s doors. I didn’t know that there’s beauty standards for an apple. This isn’t that ugly at all! That’s the most common first box-like complaint we get.

We change that, we educate people, we show them how amazing these fruits and vegetables are.

Have food delivered to your house, a box of produce every week and it’s more affordable, at a very
reasonable price, cheaper than the grocery store. I spend a lot less time in grocery stores high-quality produce they taste exactly the same if not better save those foods and vegetables that get
wasted every year and it’s delivered to your door like so why wouldn’t you do this?

Robert B. Reich and Anand Giridharadas discuss The System: Who Rigged It, How We Fix It

Former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich presents the reader’s digest of his latest book, The System: Who Rigged It, How We Fix It. He explores the system of power in America that bails out corporations instead of people, even in times of crisis, and breaks down how we have socialism for corporations and the rich, and harsh capitalism for everybody else.

As power has concentrated in the hands of corporations and the wealthy few, those few have grabbed nearly all the economic gains — and political power — for themselves.

Meanwhile, workers have been shafted.

This isn’t a democracy, where all power is shared. It’s an oligarchy, where those at the top have the power to grab everything for themselves.

But history shows that oligarchies cannot hold on to power forever. They are inherently unstable. When a vast majority of people come to view an oligarchy as illegitimate and an obstacle to their wellbeing — which is happening before our very eyes as this crisis exacerbates — oligarchies become vulnerable.
