The World Economic Forum wrapped up in Davos, Switzerland, on January 24, but let’s rewind for a moment. Last year, the billionaires and world leaders converging at the winter resort didn’t really notice the presence of a teenager camped outside the venue with a placard calling for more climate action. Mention the name “Greta Thunberg” to anyone this time around, and it’s a different story. Thunberg was at the center of this year’s meeting. #Davos2020

To prosper for very much longer on the changing Earth humankind will need to move beyond its current fossil-fueled civilization toward one that is sustained on recycled materials and renewable energy. This is not a trivial shift. It will require a major transition in all aspects of our lives.
