Now, with the birth of the youth climate action movement, she is continuing her mission by telling young people that change at the federal level only comes with strong grassroots pressure. McCarthy addressed protesters at last week’s ‘climate strike’ in Boston last Friday, and attended the opening ceremonies for the United Nations Climate Summit this week.
