In US news, filmmaker Adam McKay and The Climate Mobilization executive director Margaret Klein Salamon sat down with NowThis News to urge Congress to declare a climate emergency in response to the accelerating climate crisis. In this climate change short film, McKay and Klein Salamon give a climate breakdown and explain how President George HW Bush warned of the greenhouse effect in 1988. Today, politicians like President Donald Trump are ignoring global warming. But McKay and Klein Salamon are hopeful the Green New Deal and other immediate action on climate change for kids, adults, and everyone will slow carbon emissions.
