China-UK ties in the new era

Candidates are campaigning hard in the Conservative Party leadership election after British Prime Minister Theresa May announced her resignation. But will May’s departure affect China-UK ties? This week, Chinese Vice Premier Hu Chunhua will co-host the 10th China-UK Economic and Financial Dialogue with British Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond. The two sides are eyeing cooperation on trade, investment and other issues such as 5G services.
