National Intelligence Director Dan Coats published the annual “Worldwide Threat Assessment” yesterday — which directly contradicted Trump’s own stances on a range of matters, including his claims about the ISIS threat level and Iran’s nuclear progress, and Russian interference in 2016 election The statement adds to a long list of instances in which the President has made claims divorced from reality and disowned by experts on matters ranging from immigration to national security to climate change.
