Food, Solar, Transportation , and Trees – Green Cambridge

August in Cambridge always brings opportunity to pause — our gardens are in full bloom, the sunshine is plentiful, streets are calm, and time off is well deserved. Help us celebrate summer! On August 22nd, we co-present an outdoor showing of Inhabit, a documentary about the positive impacts made by growing food and supporting communities. Lisa DePiano, featured in the film, will speak beforehand. She is a certified Permaculture designer and co-founder of the Montview Neighborhood Farm, a human-powered farm and edible forest garden in Northampton.

A BYOPicnic, hosted by our friends at the Somerville Community Growing Center, and in collaboration with Somerville Climate Action, Soil4Climate, Somerville Media Center, Green & Open Somerville, Green City Growers, and Groundwork Somerville. Donations accepted at the door. Looking forward to seeing you there!
