Floods in northeast India kill at least 44

Floods are worsening in northeastern India and authorities in the states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh say the situation is critical.

Hundreds of thousands of homes have been swamped, while the number of dead has risen to at least 44.

Al Jazeera’s Hyder Abbasi reports.
