Eric Liu talks about his new book, “You’re More Powerful than You Think”. In this book, Eric illuminates the various sources of power—violence, wealth, ideas, strength in numbers—and explains how our modern, digital world has changed the rules for to wield them.
Liu is the founder of Citizen University, the executive director of the Aspen Institute’s Citizenship and American Identity program, a former Clinton Administration official, and a columnist for CNN. In You’re More Powerful than You Think, Liu touches on national movements like the Women’s March, Black Lives Matter, and the Tea Party to local actions like Mauricio Lim Miller’s Family Independence Initiative that helps poor families in San Francisco and Oakland, and reveals nine strategies for people who want to claim and redistribute power in their communities.
