The ashes of Liu Xiaobo, the Chinese human-rights activist who died on July 13, have been scattered at sea.
His family bid him farewell at a ceremony near the northeastern city of Dalian.
The ceremony was organised by the government, but Liu’s supporters say it was done to avoid providing a burial ground that could become a shrine for the late Nobel Peace laureate.
