US lakes increasingly overcome by toxic algae

Toxic algae blooms have spoiled fishing and swimming season in more than 20 states this summer. Environmentalists say the algae expands so rapidly that a lake can be covered in hours while sickening humans and killing pets exposed to the water. For more on this, RT America’s Anya Parampil is joined by Bev Anderson, environmental scientist with the California Water Resources Control Board.
