Believe it or not, congressional representatives spend more time in Washington, DC fundraising than actually legislating. The claims have been made in a new book ‘The Confessions of Congressman X’ authored by an anonymous congressman. RT America’s Lindsay France sits down with Rep. David Jolly (R-Florida) in the FishTank to discuss his bill, called the Stop Act, that would end direct solicitations for campaign donations by representatives during the legislative session. Then, France speaks with Robert Atkinson, the editor of Congressman X’s book, who says 60-70 percent of a legislator’s time is spent raising money.
