Ivory Coast’s empty beaches: Tourism collapses after hotel attack

The number of tourists visiting Ivory Coast’s beaches has reached an all-time low nearly two months after al-Qaeda fighters killed 19 people at a resort in Bassam.

It was the third attack in five months targeting hotels popular with foreign tourists in West Africa, and it has completely devastated businesses in the area.
