The new bill reforming the 1976 Toxic Substances Protection Act passed the Senate last month, and is expected to become law in February. Environmentalists nationwide are concerned because it will prohibit States from imposing their own regulations while the EPA investigates potential threats from chemicals. The agency has been previously criticized as being far from prolific in its work. Alexey Yaroshevsky reports.
