On the ten year anniversary of hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, Doug Ahlers has many lessons to share about disaster preparedness and response.

Ahlers led the multi-year Broadmoor Project which engaged students and faculty from HKS and other schools in the crucial task of rebuilding infrastructure and institutions in a devastated New Orleans neighborhood. He currently serves as a senior fellow at the HKS Program on Crisis Leadership.
