UNICEF Plan Sees Ivory Coast Children Leave Cocoa Fields for School

Children in Cote d’Ivoire’s cocoa growing village of Koffikro, are getting an opportunity to go to school thanks to a programme launched by the United Nations Children’s Education Fund. The campaign essentially aims to reduce child labour. At the moment, child labour cases have decreased and schools have been forced to expand to accommodate higher number of pupils enrolling for lessons. CCTV’s Mahia Mutua reports.
