On Monday December 8, 2014, delegates to the UNFCCC COP-20 discussed the joint crediting mechanism at the event, ‘Actions for Low Carbon Development in Developing Countries through the Joint Crediting Mechanism.’ The Joint Crediting Mechanism, sponsored by Japan, diffuses technology and knowledge for low-carbon development to developing countries. This video by IISD Reporting Services explores how developing countries have benefited from the mechanism at the event organized by the Ministry of the Environment of Japan, the Overseas Environmental Cooperation Center, Japan (OECC) and the Global Environment Centre Foundation (GEC).
