The Issam Fares Institute’s Climate Change and Environment in the Arab World Program and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung recently held an International Experts Meeting entitled:
Towards a Roadmap for Sustainable Cities in the MENA Region
The International Experts Meeting covered a wide range of different topics connected to the concept of sustainable cities and addressed vital issues such as sustainable transportation and mobility, climate change and resilience, and urban policies and governance. The core aim was to shed light on the need for behavioral change on all levels of urban planning in order to bring about sustainable cities in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
