Hunger isn’t just in the developing world – it’s affecting 50 million people right here in the United States, in our cities and neighborhoods. 17 million of those hungry are kids. This is unacceptable, especially since it’s an issue that can be solved. All we need is the political will to end hunger now.

Currently serving his ninth term in Congress, McGovern serves as the second ranking Democrat on the powerful House Rules Committee, which sets the terms for debate and amendments on most legislation; and a member of the House Agriculture Committee.
