Keystone XL Tar Sands Pipeline Vigil, Washington, DC

Several hundred people joined together in Washington’s Lafayette Park to hold a protest vigil to stop the construction of the northern route of the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline. It was one of more than 250 protests held on Feb. 3, 2014, across the U.S. after the State Department released its final Environmental Impact Statement. President Obama ultimately will decide whether to allow the project to move forward after further review.
