Talk to Al Jazeera – Noam Chomsky: The responsibility of privilege

AlJazeeraEnglish

Published on Jan 12, 2013

Linguist and political activist Noam Chomsky remains as vigorous as ever at the age of 84. His popularity – or notoriety as some would say – endures because he is still criticising politicians, business leaders and other powerful figures for not acting in the public’s best interest. At the heart of Chomsky’s work is examining the ways elites use their power to control millions of people, and pushing the public to resist. In this episode of Talk to Al Jazeera, Noam Chomsky sits down with Rosiland Jordan to talk about the two main tracks of his life: research and political activism.

Bill C 257- Is a Only a Small Win. WE MUST BAN GMO’s!

FrankieGotz

Published on Dec 17, 2012

new bill (Bill C-257) has been introduced by the NDP-Alex Atamanenko, MP for BC’s Southern Interior and the Agriculture Critic.

Genetically modifying has gotten completely out of control! There are companies that GM stingrays to make personalized shoes out of, in Korea they cloned GM cats that glow in the dark and there is even GM salmon for eating consumption.

In all I agree we need to label GMO foods because it is vital to us to maintain optimal health but it is a small win. We have to BAN GMO’s all together! We should not just settle for ‘labelling’ them.
