Astronomers say that one in six stars hosts an Earth-sized planet in a close orbit – suggesting a total of 17 billion such planets in our galaxy.

The result comes from an analysis of planet candidates gathered by Nasa’s Kepler space observatory.

The Kepler scientists also announced 461 new planet candidates, bringing the satellites’ total haul to 2,740.

Their findings were announced at the 221st meeting of the American Astronomical Society in California.

High winds and record temperatures have fanned fires in south-east Australia, as the prime minister warned of a “very dangerous day”.

More than 100 fires have already been reported in New South Wales, with residents in some areas urged to leave.

An uncontrolled fire is burning by the Tasman peninsula, near areas already hit by blazes over the weekend.

Teams in Victoria are also fighting a blaze, as Australia’s heat wave continues.

You don’t get conditions worse than this”

Shane Fitzsimmons New South Wales Rural Fire Service Commissioner

Four areas in New South Wales have been given a “catastrophic” fire danger rating, meaning that if fires break out they will be uncontrollable and fast-moving, so residents should leave. ….(more).

A few demolitions that weren’t as successful as WTC 7

Compare these failed controlled demolitions to the complete destruction of WTC 7 on 9/11: According to the NIST WTC 7 report, the demolition crews should have just set these buildings on fire if they wanted to completely demolish them.

Actual video of WTC 7 destruction undermines NIST computer simulation – YouTube

ae911truth

Published on Jan 7, 2013

Actual video of WTC 7 destruction undermines NIST computer simulation. Chris Sarns’ video shows that The NIST computer simulation stops about 1 second after the building started its descent. This is completely unjustified. There is no excuse for stopping the computer animation prior to the building’s descent to the point where it drops out of site in video. The external frame is folding up at this point in the computer simulation but that did not happen in the actual collapse. The only reason that NIST would have to stop the descent at this point would be to hide the obvious “folding up” and “falling over” that is beginning to occur. Also, the “cascading” failure of the structural framing system at the 3 interior columns at the left side of the building, if actually occurred, would result in a very noticeable deformation of the exterior wall which is clearly not occurring. NISTS hypothesis that the core columns at the east end (left) of the building is an unscientific fabrication. See FAQ #11 [hyperlink for more info].
